First Post

Fellow South Jersey MLS Fans,

Our first professional soccer team starts in 2009 -- maybe 2007, but I have my doubts -- and this blog is going to be dedicated to analysis of events leading up to the new team. Rather than serve as a news site (though I will include news), this blog is instead dedicated to analysis of news surrounding the team, and it will hopefully build up support for this team. South Jersey MLS will be the very first professional sports team to call South Jersey home, and we as fans need to support the efforts of Rowan University, the Milestone Group, and the State in funding and building this team. Drop a line of support in the comments box, if so desired, and let's get this team up and running.

Thus far, I've heard from Gov. Corzine and Assemblyman Joe Roberts, who is supposedly working on a bill for the team. South Jersey has been subsidizing North Jersey stadia projects for so long; it is time we also got a piece of the infrastructure pie.
